Interest rates continue to be a topic of discussion these days and for good reason. The recent increase in interest rates have slowed Buyer demand to some extent. The market has cooled a bit. The LBI market naturally cools this time of year due to summer rentals, etc. However, we have definitely seen a bit of a cooling on the mainland market. What this means for Sellers – Although it remains a Seller’s market, your home may stay on the market for longer than expected or may trade for a price at or lower than we have seen in the recent past. Of course, only time will tell. Prices seem to be holding and many homes are still trading at over list price.
