As we approach the end of September we are seeing, as predicted, prices remain more or less the same as they were through the Summer of 2022. The market is remaining competitive especially in the under a million dollar price point despite increasing interest rates and inflation. The real estate market on LBI remains competitive as a result of inventory decreasing. Typically we would see inventory increase as we head into the Fall but that did not happen this year on LBI.
If you are thinking of purchasing a home on LBI and want to be in for next summer, now is a good time to get familiar with the market and LBI (if you do not know it well). LBI is 18 miles long and consists of 6 different municipalities. Each “section” of the island has its own set of amazing offerings, but one section may interest you more than the other. Learning the market and island now will put you in a good position to get the home that best suits your needs before next summer.
