Beach Haven is one of the most popular rental areas on the island as it is home to many shops and restaurants and offers a variety of activities throughout the year for all ages. Beach Haven is home to Fantasy Island, the Surflight Theatre and the New Jersey Maritime Museum. Beach Haven is also home to some main LBI events throughout the year such as Chowderfest and HopSauce.
Beach Haven offers a mix of residential and commercial properties such as single family homes, duplexes, commercial real estate and condominiums.
Beach Haven is one of the southern most towns on the island so upon entering onto the island one typically will have a ten to fifteen minute drive, depending on traffic, to reach their destination in Beach Haven. A perk with Beach Haven is that once you reach your destination, you likely won’t need to travel far for groceries, beverages, dining and amusement.
A portion of Beach Haven is a designated Historical Section which helps to keep some of Beach Haven’s historic charm alive and well. The Beach Haven Historic District is designed to maintain and preserve the traditional and historic look of a section in Beach Haven. In 2004 Beach Haven passed a law that created the Historic Preservation Committee with the intention to maintain the historical and architectural distinctive homes that are found in Beach Haven. It is important to note that not all of Beach Haven is subject to the Beach Haven Historic District’s guidelines. Mainly the oceanside areas from 5th Street to Chatsworth Ave. fall into this jurisdiction. Before buying a home in Beach Haven it is important to know if your prospective home falls in the historic district and if so, what impact it will have on your future plans as well as the long term appreciation.
