The Dunes

Having already wrote about what I would consider the widely known sections of LBI, we will now dive a little deeper into some other sections of the island.  It is amazing to think that LBI is only 18 miles long but each section and each town differs from one another.   You may find similarities between them all – they are all on a sand bar – but they each have something unique to offer.

Today we will explore “The Dunes”.  The Dunes is part of Long Beach Township and sits between Haven Beach and Beach Haven Terrace.    The Dunes tends to offer a higher elevation, larger lots and more quietness than some of the other sections of LBI, which means the real estate in this section tends to trade at a higher price point.    The Dunes is also not too far from the many attractions that Beach Haven offers.  One can even bike to Beach Haven on nice days from The Dunes.    The Dunes also offers lagoon front homes.   Not too many areas of the island offer this, so this is definitely a unique characteristic for the Dunes in comparison to some of the other sections of LBI.
